Extension Hiding.

I was wondering on how to hide the extension of a web page.

For example let's say I have some site called 123site and I coded the index page in PHP. It would show like this, www.123site.com/index.php. I was wondering how to remove that extension.

You can do that using Apache's mod_rewrite. Basically, it'll take a given URL (http://123site.com/index) and tack .php at the end of it.

You can also do the same thing with mime_types, but it's less manageable.
