I did that once.  I don't remember if it was a holiday or like, a random day we had off for teacher conferences or something and the school doors were unlocked for it.  It was when my mom was in her, "I'm not driving you to school anymore, take the damn bus" phase while I was a senior.  The buses were absolute shit, and the drivers were insane, so I walked the two blocks to school instead.  Anyway, I got about as far as the first gymnasium when I... kinda realized it was really far too empty. :x

Fortunately no one noticed, but it still sucked having to walk the two blocks back right away.

Back in high school, a buddy of mine showed up to school on time (0800) on a day when we had a 2-hour delay due to icing on the power lines. He didn't know about the delay because it takes about 25-45 minutes to get to the school from his house, so he left before it was announced. Rather than going home, waiting ten minutes and driving back, he decided to take a nap in his car. He didn't wake up until 11:45.

I've actually been at my old highschool till around 11pm or 12am, i forget exactly how late. But that was for play practice and I was setting up the stage set. Bad thing was, I had to go back to school the next day.

I've been to a day off to build up a stage for a rock concert that was going to be during the next day. My project in High School was to announce concerts and stuff like that, so the students could do something on their breaks rather then doing nothing. I was there from 10AM-06PM, checking the sounds and other similar stuff.

I was TERRIBLE for doing this nearly every bank holiday I'd go into school and the cleaners would shout at me and I'd go home again.

Then I balenced it out by not attending at all for two years.

I was generally absent from school 30-60 days a year every year after I was old enough to figure out how to elude the school bus so ... Yeah I pretty much never went to school when I didn't have to. Or hardly ever otherwise
