The trial doesn't work. You just get an error saying it's not registered. Btw is that a one time buy for the whole thing or just episode one? Because I've not seen an indy rpg maker game charge more than $20 for the ENTIRE game and if you're charging by episodes.... well it's kinda charging too much for one and also I'm under the impression it's not finished... so it seems really unfair to charge for something that may never be completed in it's entirety.

First of all: When i want to play the free trial, the game just shuts down. This should be fixed asap!

Hmm, 9.99 is a hefty price for an indie game for one episode. It depends how long and how good episode 1 is but for that price i want at least 8 hours of solid gameplay. If there are more than 3 episodes comming, i would suggest lowering the price to 4.99. In the other case lowering to 6.99 might be a good idea. Though i don't know how much thought you guys put in the bussiness model and all.

@RavenTDA: I'm pretty sure jasprelao and his team are devoted too their project and they will not abandon it (i've been following their blog for a while). Okay, the price is a bit steep, but i don't think we need to be scared that this project will never be finished.

@RavenTDA and Gravija:
Thank you very much for your suggestion about the price, may be we will think about it in our team discussion, I agree with your opinions, but I need to share it with the team first before we change anything in the game. And we are devoted to this project and we expect to finish the whole Eternal Grace, so we need your support.

Please make sure that your computer is 32 bit, not 64 bit, because the serial number system only compatible with computer with 32 bit architecture, so we are apologize for the 64 bit owner.

Thanks...

Well people drop projects everyday and I'd say more often than not people don't finish games rather than actually completing them. Money can be a good incentive, but if it's not your actual job than well it's more liable to be dropped. It doesn't matter how long people have been working on a game either. Heck I dropped a project after working on it on and off for about two years. I'm sure others worked longer and harder and dropped them too. It's not uncommon.

Check out Big Fish Games. They're pretty much a site for buying indy games and they're all reasonably priced for COMPLETE games. Personally if there's a bunch of chapters to come out... I'd make the first chapter a demo (since there's probably more of a story and I figure a cliff hanger of some sort). And then go from there....

Also I got 64 bit and I think perhaps a lot more people than you might think use that. Since the first two posters here are complaining about the same thing it seems like a good idea to maybe fix that issue or make a 64 bit version. I also assume it's just the key/lock on it that's causing the issue as well. So it shouldn't be that hard to fix since it's not the actual game itself causing the problem.

What's up with 64-bit OSs? Man, if you wanna get some money with this game, you'll need to study better how to make it available to people first. Lots of people use 64-bit what means lots of people WON'T be able to even test it.

So... I hope you can fix this .-.

True that.

They should only need to change the compiler setting to say that its 32-bit rather than adaptive. And that would resolve the 64-bit issue. But I have to agree with what everyone else is saying.

So... I'm not trying to punch down on you or anything, but I still have an urge to go all RantScope on this... mainly because I have all reason to, but also because I enjoy it.

First of all, not compatible with 64 bit because of your protection system hints on two things:
a) your team apparently agreed on the fact that the three people still using 32 bit are a big enough audience for your game
b) you pay more attention to getting your asses golden than people playing your games... try to realize that this is usually the opposite of what indie game making is about - for a reason

As for the price, I'm not going to go ahead and tell you what to do. It's your right as the designer to request 10 bucks for it, and it's up to the player to decide if they want to buy it. I think your main problem is thinking the whole thing through - the 64 bit issue is like the biggest mistake in your whole planning, but there's other stuff ingame that I don't wanna explain in detail here... in the end, I come to the conclusion that your priorities are making a game, getting some money off of it, and be happy at the end of the day. Just occasionally, it doesn't hurt to make your customers/players happy, though. That's sadly not the way I see you guys going.

Thank you very much for all of your concern, we will try our best to make the 64 bit version (In my country, Indonesia, most of people use 32 bit computer, and that's our lack of resource there).

I hope you can understand our first struggle to make our first game and we will try to fix it up.

We need your support to let us know how the serial number system can work in 64 bit computer.

Thanks...

Yeah, I get the same error. I think most of America (cannot speak for other countries) use 64bit.

Also, yeah, price wise; I wouldn't pay 10 bucks for an indie game; more so, one for RMXP, unless it was a full game and at least 40 hours. I mean, 10 bucks for a single episode... I can get entire games for that price, really. Not until it truly has a name for itself would I expect it to go for that per episode. Just my opinion though.

As soon as you get a fix up, I'll give the demo a shot so that I can have more of an opinion. From what i've seen, it looks good. But one cannot tell until they play! I'll be sure to let you know if the fix works too.

Looking forward to it!

Thank you very much, we'll try to make the 64 bit version of Eternal Grace Episode 1,
And we decide to adjust the price, now you can enjoy Eternal Grace Episode 1 for:

US$ 4.90

Thanks...

Since I use x64, I also won't be able to play this. I will say that unless this game is mind-blowingly amazing, charging even $5 for a single episode is downright ludicrous. You can get many full games for that price.

To be fair though, that is usually when they are on sale. And many times at 50-75% off. The question that I have though is how long the episode is. For example, the Telltale games are ~$5 each if you buy a series for $25-35. I don't know if they are still selling episodes by themselves, but they were around $7-8 I believe.

Those are also full-fledged commercial games though.

In my opinion, by looking at the screenshots posted, $5 doesn't seem ridiculous. It looks like they've done a very professional job, the menu's and battle system looks pretty professional. Unfortunately, I also can't play because I am on x64. Perhaps I could try it on my netbook....

This game is awesome. I played the trial and i am considering buying it!

Also,to all you guys complaining about 64bit os compatibility, 64bit os has a 32bit emulator built into it which allows it to run MOST 32bit programs, so i don't know if it will work for you guys being that i have a 32bit system but atleast give it a try because it should work.

I think as Gubid pointed out, it's a problem on their end, not ours. I tried running it as administrator and with compatibility on, but it doesn't run. 64-bit systems are completely locked out right now.

Eternal Grace Episode 1 for 64 bit computer is Now Available! Now the 64 bit computer owner can also dive into the world of Enthrea. To try the 64 bit version, you can simply went to:

http://eternal-grace.com/p/buy-now.html

and choose the download for 64 bit version. There is no significant difference between the 32 and 64 bit version of Eternal Grace Episode 1.

Thank you very much with your opinions,

We know you can get many full version game (not episodes) of game with only $5, but this game can last about 10-15 hours depends on how you play it, I hope you can enjoy the story, the game play, the music, the artworks and so on. And we hope the price is worth to fulfill your expectation.
