Enemy AI scripts?

Are there any stand-alone Enemy AI scripts? Ones that will let you have an enemy event with advanced AI (Like, approach the player when it sees it) that is used with the DBS? So far, the only ones I've seen are attached to ABSs.

I made an enemy_detection script that would do this.  Also, it only sets approach.
