Enemies keep re-spawning until the player dies?

Hey there. :haha:

What I want to do is have one battle with eight enemies and when all the eight enemies are defeated, eight more appear.
This process continues for as long as possible and the only way for it to end is when the player's health is 0, then the battle will end and the game will continue. Keep in mind that there is only one actor in the party. I've tried doing it with 'battle events' like conditional branches but it doesn't seem to work. Plus, when the actor's HP reaches 0 it goes gameover.
Is there anything that can help me?

Yes.
I am assuming this is rpg maker XP, but it works with VX as well.
If you create a "Battle Processing" event, there should be an option to continue after battle. Mark that button, and it should not play gameover. Let me know if this works.

Regarding the respawning enemies: If you want a truly endless number of them, your best bet (without scripting) is to have them resurrect each other. You can do that with battle events-- have an event that checks every round if any of them have died, and Forces Action to kick in with some sort of 0-MP area resurrection power.

That's because "Appear Halfway" won't take you very far-- a new wave will turn up.

...Please consider having them use instant-death attacks or at least really powerful ones now and then. It would be no end of boring and frustrating for a player to have to endlessly fight enemies that slowly whittle their health down, and just endure it, for a very long period of time. No-win fights need to be fast.
