Eight Figure variables?

is there a way to use enter eight figure variables, without having to scroll the figure upwards manually? Is there any way to substitute a script in an event for a conditional branch?

this zelda script i found on the site: it has the ocarina, and can use tunes of up to eight notes, using variables.

Oh okay. I'd just have an event that sets the variable directly. You can delete it later.
