Efficiency

ok i have a few question about the state efficiencies.
First what is the vs demon etc in the element efficiencies? can this be used to make like a priest class that has a bonus against undead? if so can i have an example?
2nd what about state efficiency? is that how well the char performs under that state?
thats it
3rd What is the barrier, sharp, feeble etc. states? what is their effects? i know they are stat lowering/raiseing but i don't know which is what

P.S.: you'll see alot of me on these boards i always run into little problems and can never find answers. i find things that are close but... not the exact thing i wanted

In no particular order:

The names of the elemental efficiencies are, in actual fact, meaningless. You can change them however you like, and decide how to use them as you like. What they actually mean is how damaged the character is by that element-- somebody with an efficiency of A vs. Fire is going to take double damage from fire; somebody with an efficiency of F will be healed by it. (To give a priest an anti-undead nature, you'll need to give their skills and/or weapons whatever anti-undead element you want to.)

State efficiency works the same way-- A is most vulnerable to a state, F is immune to that state.

I recommend reading the helpfile that comes with the game; it explains how all of the stats work, and if you read it, you'll not only know what each State does, but you'll be able to construct your own custom States. And that's a good thing.
