[Edited & Updated] Game Title in Progess

Alright, I'm working on a title for my next game. I'm probably not sticking with the name, but I'm looking for what you think on the the styles i'm trying out. Just composition in general. Any suggestions would be welcome.

This isn't pixel art, so moving to Visual Art Analysis. That said, I strongly suggest going for a more utilitarian look. The filter in the background is really obvious and tacky to anyone who's ever used Photoshop, and the texturing on the font is overkill and makes it a bit hard to read. I do like the font, though.

...I'm not going to make it a solid color, that's kind of too bland. I see what you mean about the background though, I was planning on changing it anyway. What do you suggest for the texturing? Maybe Less opacity? different style of texture?...I want a nice scarred feel to it, not something with singular colors for text and background....kinda lame.

The planet view background might be the best choice. But make the background darker, it's too bright and is taking the attention away from the actual main element (the damn game name!). Try using the texture on that one and tweak the gradient fill too, maybe using more grayer tones.

SEE YA!!!!!

the "shine" on the text is quite visibly a five-second job. in fact, most of the title screen is. I get that you don't want the font to be one uniform color (although solid colours can work very well if you're decent with colour theory and placement) but if you want the text to have some sort of special thing to it, just put in the work yourself instead of just slapping on filters like every other rmbaby who wants to make a title screen but not use too much effort.

start with the font as a relatively solid colour, with minimal added effects, and just zoom in and go to work on it by hand. the basic photoshop filters and the gradient tool and stuff like that tends to be really visible to anyone who has much experience with anything, so avoid using them.
