Shimmer do the stars
in the obsidian abyss,
Drifting in tide as the briny deep,
that doth also scintillate
under the piercing eye
Of the midnight rook.
Gaze does the moon
Upon the tears of the ocean's mist in
The drapery of farewell
as inevitable as the trailing morn
Aspiring ray of brilliance,
Quelling the Cimmerian Shade.
Ascend does the sun
as does the ebon curtain,
most certainly
Denouement of the pale body of night.
Ergo awaits the patron of day,
Her grace in solidarity.
Sing does the eclipse
of the unity as the two kiss the sky-
Forever emblazoned in mind's light
as those who witness will attest,
Met have the spectrum ends,
To dwell in galaxies of
I missed you.
Far,far away-
Beyond the chains of severance
and heartache.
A pair of souls married to the
Burst of luminescence-
Cries the sun and stars:
I love you moon of my life.
Wrote this bit of poetry for my girlfriend who I am in a longish-distance relationship with (about 4 hours away, we see each other one or two weekends a month). She usually goes by some nickname with rook attached to it (i.e. apostaterook, electricrook, etc.), which is what the rook refers to in the first stanza. Also, the last bit is in reference to our favorite show, Game of Thrones from which we stole the dothraki endearment phrases from.
