Dead Content DVT: Season 1 Finished.

Dead content awaiting restoration.
Ratty: Most of the characters are from RPG forums. They aren't all just from Rmxp.org, but there are others from Kamain’s world, and there will be some more from other forums, but in like season 2 and 3. The ones not from forums are

Betawolf, Danielle, Seraph, Sandra, and there will be more coming up soon too.

Euphony: For a mini spoiler, Tim is actually a member that is talked about every once in a while in the series. He will completely show up later in the series. I actually hadn't planned on bringing him in until season two, but when it came to that episode, I thought it would be interesting to add him in to show his programming ability. You might be able to figure out who he is if you went back and rewatched some of the episodes, but I would just wait until his username is revealed.

Dash: To be honest, I do not remember where I got that tile set. I think an online friend gave it to me. Yet no one has come forward asking for credit for it XD I've edited it some too myself, but it still is helpful.

Also, I'm hoping to get the domain website up soon. I don't know how soon, but it will be soon. And when that happens ill be able to host the episodes myself so it won't go as slow.

ANYWAY, hopefully that answers some questions.

Alright, do you think you could upload the episodes somewhere else? That website they are on at the moment is so SLOW. Episode 1 is downloading at 9kb/s right now and.. yeah.

Rapidshare if possible.

Rapidshare sucks, mainly because of a new "Ad" thats there, I think they should juist put a b infront of the ad. my advise is to search the net for a diffrent file host.

but he's right, it is slow.....

Hmm, how about box.net ? It's supposedly better, and free hosting is like up to one GB? I haven't used it very much, but it seems pretty good.

Thanks for the input. Like I said, I'm hoping to get my own hosting soon within the next week or so. Also, not just the hosting, but the episodes will be fixed up and edited. So check back this coming friday I think. Friday august 3rd.

Well, Virtua was the original name of the town, but it was changed to Basia. So on the map, I just put both names XD
Oh!... I think Virtua Basia was a joke of 'Visual Basic' @_@

Ok, major update XD The Domain website is FINALLY up. The link is on the front page, but if you're too lazy, then it's http://www.domainvt.org/

Also, the Prologue and Episode One are redone and available to watch =) Find those downloads on the front page or the website.

Glad to see some uses of panoramas for the new version. :) Certainly some improvements to be seen from the old version. The scene where the blue bird snatches the crow was fun to watch, heheh. However, on a similar note, a few moments after that scene, there is a freeze bug as the bird flies down on the waterfall where it apparently gets stuck. Had to use the scene selection to get past that. :/

Some maps are still a little too squarely and lack elevations/shapes a bit, but there certainly have been improvements on that part. I like the recoloring and darkening of the old tilesets, so kudos on that. :) Story-wise, there's not been much of a change, so not too much to comment on that part.

Good luck with the future progressions, as always!

P.S> Website's looking good. I can't figure out how to format the divider for the two columns, heheh.

That's really weird... I'm not getting that freezing error, and neither is some of the people I've let see it. I wonder if anyone else is getting that error.

If anyone else gets that error please let me know. Also, I have a new sig that can link you to the Domain topic here at the forums, or the website. =)

Also, Hopefully by this friday episode 2 and 3 will be released. Or should I say, Re released

I got an error.... not sure if it's the same one, but it's when the characters are trying to cross the bridge at the beginning. Dragon [I think that's his name] is crossing. I hear a creature scream and the characters look up. Nothing happens the game just stays that way.

I looked up and noticed what looked like a dragon thing trying to move down, but is stuck. I had to scene select past that part. I think you only have to change the Dragon event to a "Through" event. That should work.

The problem is, I'm not getting that error myself, and neither did my friend when she downloaded it and watched on her computer... that's so odd. I'll try to fix and upload again...

Update: I just downloaded the exact file that you all are watching, and I have to say I'm not getting any problems... I don't know why you guys are, but I just downloaded the exact same file...

Oh well... it didn't really diminish the viewing too much.

I actually downloaded a version from last month or so. I found that error back then, but didn't think anything of since it seemed like I was the only one. Oh well, no biggy.

Hi, I just watched the prologue and I've got to say it was better than I expected. I'm not sure if/how much you change things up as the series progresses, but I'm planning on making a "game" very similar to this. Well, not plot-wise, but in the way it's executed, with it being more like a show than a game.
Anyway, my biggest issue with the game was that there isn't a pause feature. It's not really a big deal, being I later figured out that if you minimize it or switch to a different window, it more or less pauses. Still though, if it's possible, an actual pause would be great. I might look into it for my game, but right now I can't think of a good way to do it without scripting...which I'm not familiar with since I'm still finishing a game with 2K3, so I haven't done much with XP yet. Other than that though, it's very nicely done, and I'm looking forward to watching the other episodes once I finish downloading them.

Thanks. Yeah, the first season won't have a pause feature. Though, for a spoiler for the second season, I'm currently planning a system for people to be able to skip scenes or go back to old scenes with just the push of the arrow keys. =) It should be interesting. Also, if I can get a script for the pause then I could put that in XD
