You have good penchant for detail on clothing, which in turn guides the eyes to the much simpler face. Allowing for good eye-movement. You could do so much better, the manga thing really is dragging you down.
Its a good idea to try different styles or do a block of realism, and then return to manga, you'll have a much deeper understanding.

Um dude, you have no idea how much I'm trying to do realism :'(
I tried posting it here once no one EVER EVER commented so I gave up on it and post it only in one place (either in DA or in my sketchbook that I never bother to scan) :P
And I am always trying different styles :P

You're going to let someone's words influence what you're going to draw. You're simply going to stop drawing the life of art because someone won't say something.

Edit: oh yes, reelaborating on my previous statement about the head.
If you look at Sweet_Colored__by_Archeiai.jpg, the redhead girl's head should extend back a bit more. Its not much, but it seems rather flat still.
