at PAX 2010 it was announced that Gearbox Software makers of Borderlands and Brothers In Arms will be picking up where George Broussard left off. Duke Nukem NeverForever will never die.

haha somehow I knew you'd be the one to make this topic! honestly I've never even played Duke Nukem, I just watched my bro play.

Borderlands was pretty fun so here's to hoping Gearbox can do it justice. it's such a pain to see anything in that video, though.

I think that before this they only had gameplay footage. but hey I haven't really been following this so

actually, speaking of that, didn't someone come out not too long ago and state that DNF was a big prank? that the footage they'd shown was all CG and stuff? what's the story with that?

I've only ever seen gameplay footage, but as for it being in a stand where people can demo it, I don't think so. I never heard about the DNF prank but I doubt it's really a prank, too much effort for a prank like 13 years in the making. Why would someone waste that much time to make a prank.

I've been researching and researching looking at different webpages that talked about DNF. So far everything looks promising. And it seems Gearbox will do it justice because all of the opening scenes and things I heard about the gameplay. IT WAS ALL DUKE. The only thing I'm praying for is that Jon St. John comes back to do voice acting, cause if it ain't Duke, it's not Duke Nukem. Might as well call it Pig Cop Chasers.

A few lines I read from Jon St. John looks like he really enjoyed the role of Duke Nukem, so I do see him coming back to it.

"Just another gig? Are you kidding? Duke is KING! Can you think of any other video game hero with his attitude, destructive force or good looks? I don't think so. I love playing the part of Duke and I'm honored to be associated with such a pop icon."

Jon St. John was asked about sound clips of his performance being used in a Ventrilo Harassment video, and replied

"Yes...I was made aware of it by Jeron (an audio producer at 3DR) who suggested I check it out prior to recording a special Duke greeting to the 3DR crew just before the Duke Nukem Forever trailer was released. I laughed my head off! That lady was out of her mind pissed off!"
