Dubealex AMS and choose name?

I hope it's okay to post this here.
Anyway I've run into a little problem with the AMs, letting the player choose the characters name and then displaying that name in the name window during dialogue.
Let me give an example, because not even I can figure out what I just said:

If I do it like this:

it's \name[text], in text you can use \n[actor id]

at last this is how the things are on the AMS i had.

I'm using R4 and looking at the author's notes at the top again, I'm starting to think when I try to do \n[ID] it reverts back to the default scripts. Guess, that mean's I'll have to choose one then.
