Dual Weapon?

guys i have another question, since im making the Game Mech Type of RPG how can i use THE SHIELD option as a weapon? or it really can't? i saw Knight Blade use L. Arm and R. Arm (Weapon and Shield) as both useful in battle scenes, i think it used a script but if is it necessary just to use the Shield Option as weapon in an event? if not necessary i'll just use a script...

Another question:

how can i make a charset ride the mech? like, the pilot can get on get off? is that even necessary? if yes please post how to do it :D thanks!

or when you make an armor select "Shield" as its "Kind" and just use a weapon icon. The only problem is you won't be able to add any atk dmg to it.

for the charset you'll have to make it yourself or request someone to do it for you.

the multi slot is not working out with gubid's tactical battle system...it equips Left and Right Weapons but it only uses the Original Weapon and doesn't use the 2nd one during battle

i meant, you'll make your actor RIDE the mech like walking into it pressing a button then you'll be inside the mech ^_^ how to do that?
 
look in the thread about the multi-slot system. there is possibly an answer for your problem

regarding the mech, do you want you character sprite to show while they are in the mech? if not then you need to set up some a control switch that will change your actor's graphic into the mech. then you need to make an event that will turn off the switch. is the mech suppose to be a vehicle?

okay i'll search the multi-slot about that,

yeah the mech acts like vehicle, but it's also an actor at the database, have you ever played front mission or Xenogears before? at xenogears you play as fei a player (an ordinary player) but then fei has a robot like (looks like combined full metal panic and evangelion robot like thingy) that he rides, so what i want to happen is for the ACTOR is able to ride the mech ^_^ it's just like piloting the mech

do you want him to "ride" the mech by pressing a button on a certain area? If not, what you could do is make an event that is player touch that a) changes the character sprite to the mech and b) Controls a variable "mech" (or whatever you wanna call it). That variable is the key to changing back to normal. Once you have that variable, make another page on the event under which the condition is "if variable mech is equal to 1 or above" then it changes the character sprite back to normal... I guess you could also add addtional effects to being in the mech suit as well, just make sure that when the character changes back to normal, you also turn those effects off.
I'll see if I can find out how to upload a demo to show you...

yeah somethin like that, but changing the player into some kind of mech will the ACTOR status the same, you know? the sprite changes but not the stats of the actor, and what im saying was "here's the mech" and then "actor1" comes up and press an action then "actor1" disappears and the mech will be the ACTOR himself. or will be the actor left :D i know i could configure it by just a simple event but the ACTOR should be able to get off the mech as well... thanks Lorra and souloux :)
 
don't you mean like:
change party members> remove party member 1 (player)
change party members> add party member 2 (mech)
and when you go out:
change party members> add party member 1 (player)
change party members> remove party member 2 (mech)
