Drawing II Assignment

I'm currently in a Drawing II class at school, and I'm stuck finishing up a project at home for the weekend.

It's not completely done, because the body still needs to be done, but I'm getting close. I'm really liking what's coming forth so I decided to post it for a little feedback.

It was made using a charcoal pencil and black paper, the point of the project is to think in an inversed manner and draw in the highlights instead of the shadows.

The camera really didn't do it justice, it looks alot better in person. :/
I'll try to get the finished product up sometime tomorrow.

Looking really good so far.
Although, it may just be me, but the face looks really fat. :/

If I weren't lazy, I would post the reference photo. The two are identical in proportion, so the face is fine. :/
Besides, it has longer fur on the bottom of its face anyway.
