Dragon Sprite [WIP]

Hi, I really hate the RTP dragon and wanted to recreate it for my game.

What I wanted was:

-something much smaller
-something a lot less chubby
-no random head spike

Well, I began by drawing a shitty outline and then filling it in with colour, and then added in bits from the RTP dragon. Editted them lots, and ended up with this:

Please note this is entirely WIP. No shading has been done whatsoever, even the editted bits are still in a bad state. I'm after C&C on the overall shape of the dragon really.

Oh and please don't use this in yer games, it's made for Vengeance only, sorry.

You've placed the wings directly onto the wings, which makes it look really weird. The angle of the wings wouldn't work anyway, unless the dragon would be capable of flying with his front legs under the wings and his back legs on top of them (yeah that's going to look weird). So I suggest placing it a bit more back and make it into a different angle. The feet also look odd. This might be because there are no feet on his right side, or because his feet are longer than his legs.

Other than that, it's a decent. Dragons probably wouldn't have such straight necks as you've drawn it, but that's pretty easy to fix with only a few pixels.

Adding to what Tassadar had to say, it looks a lot like a winged lizard. Not that I hate it, it looks very nice and pretty well done. I think it's just me who likes chubby looking cute sort of things. (This doesn't make sense does it?)

Lol, to me it looks like a cute little lizard guy. If you hadn't included all four legs, iot would have made a decent-looking wyvern.

I like it. It's got tons of potential.

Maybe if you raised the wings just a *little* to the left, because, unlike Tassadar, I think the front wing is too far down the back. It kinda looks like another arm that, instead of going downwards, went up. Also, the wing looks like it coming off the side of the dragon, not off the back. If you add the RTP dragon's shoulder blade, that would make it look better.

I think this is a really great thing in the making. It's a shame this is only for your game.

I actually love that this is being done. I also hate the rtp dragon due to that it looks really beefy and unable to fly, and it looks more like its walking then it does flying.

I would recommend adding more scales to the neck, as it looks kinda bare there. If possible, maybe make it look like its flying as opposed to just walking. We have another lizard for that (snake01)

Quick question - what colour should the dragon be?

In my game at some point the player will get to ride this dragon (as cliche'd as it sounds). And well... I'm using visual equipment, thus the player can be lots of different colours, so I need a colour that will go with any colour really.

I could make it the typical green you see a lot, or blue, or red, or... leave it orange. What's your opinions?

I guess its colour depends on where the player encounters this dragon. In all the films that I've seen, their scales are a colour to compliment their surroundings.
If they're in a forest, then it's green or brown, so... I guess the colour can be anything as long as it makes survival sense in their original habitat.
