Down direction malfunction

Okay when during test play (and probably a real game) the character wants to continuously move down for no apparent reason.  It does this in the menu until it hits the last option then I can move up, left, right but not down.  I'd like some assistance if possible.  Also it only does this in RMVX.  I have no other problems with it in any other program.  I'm running it on Windows XP.

Restart your comp.. last time that happened to me I realized that something was messing with my drawing tablet.. with you it's probably something else but doesnt hurt to reboot.

Restart your comp.. last time that happened to me I realized that something was messing with my drawing tablet.. with you it's probably something else but doesnt hurt to reboot.

That worked!  I didn't expect help so fast.  I remember when this was RMXP.com.  Good place.  This place is just the same if not better.  Thanks guys.
