Seriously one of the greatest ideas for a movie EVAR.

I recommend you go see this movie IMMEDIATELY. If not for the title; but for the sheer awesomeness of the movie.

In case you're unaware of what a 'donkey punch' is [[and if you're not aware I fear you either to young to understand the hilariousness of this idea of a movie]] its the act of while engaging in such fun activities as sex [[safe sex is the best sex  :thumb:]] you wait until the right moment and give your lover a nice straight fist to the back of the head! POW RIGHT IN THE KISSER! Its supposed to give them some sort of high or help to achieve orgasm. I'm not to sure. Either ways yes see the movie and make sure you give plenty of Donkey Punches to everyone. Its fun for the whole family!!!

And don't forget to watch the trailer because its filled with epic win.  :thumb:

Spoiler: Story synopsis

After meeting at a nightclub in a Mediterranean resort, seven young adults decide to continue partying aboard a luxury yacht in the middle of the ocean. But when one of them dies in a freak accident, the others argue about what to do, leading to a ruthless fight for survival. Seriously? Wow people on rmxp do have horrible tastes in stuff. From what I've seen its a shitty idea for a movie. Think about it if I made a movie about me taking a crap and it'd be like, "Makasu's ass-venture" its the same thing. But meh maybe it might be good but I just couldn't stop laughing at the title of it. And the fact that its a movie about donkey punching.

You killed her!!! Now we hunt each other on yacht because we're angry feminists." and I'm guessing at the end the boat explodes!

i can say that i have a far better taste than most people on this forum in quite high confidence. and yes i have heard this is good, as i said i haven't seen it but you're simply reading a concept, such a concept can be handled in the way that something like DUDE WHERE'S MY CAR? would, but stylistically i hear it's actually quite dark and genuinely witty, believable and sharp.
i am basing it off of this review - http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/rev ... FID=135602 - which is the only one i've read, and from a publication i generally trust. i may disagree when i see it but i'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until then

This film is generally meant to be quite good.  You make the synopsis sound untrue but I've been to these destinations and this is in fact a likely thing a group of girls would get themselves into in these places.  The characterisation is also meant to be far better than a standard thriller.  I take it you haven't seen it, it was out here ages ago but I was away when it was in cinemas.  You're making it sound like Meet the Spartans or something, which I really don't think it is.

I don't see a how a drunken fueled sex act by some horned men getting out of hand is unbelievable as opposed to man in a mask chasing people round highschools.

For me, it's mostly the trailer I saw. The point of a trailer is to show off the strong points of the movie, to "sell" the movie. The trailer didn't show anything that would suggest the film had strong characterization and was trying to jump away from the normal hum-drum thriller, the trailer said to me "hey, here's another mindless horror movie with ignorant and unrelatable characters." Compare this to the trailer for Scream. That trailer is obviously over the top, but at the time the concept was novel and the story presented a horror deconstructionist storyline that influenced horror movies to come.

Mostly though, is the name of the film. People make strong first impressions, and if I where making a horror film with "good characterization" and an "interesting storyline", I would not name my movie after a goofy sexual fetish. Word of mouth is important, and now you've effectively killed off a good amount of revenue with a retarded title. It doesn't have to have a pretentious name, or anything, but Donkey Punch is just fucking stupid.

Due to all the choices the creators made by themselves I have a very strong feeling that the movie sucks. I didn't have to read Makasu's synopsis or anyone else's to come to that conclusion. And if the filmmakers actually made a good movie, then they should have given it a better title and cut a better trailer.

Whats weird about it is critics seemed to really like it but every viewer opinion thinks it's dreadful... usually the other way round.  I agree the trailer was really bad though, the acting seemed pretty appalling.  Maybe tit was the fact they were on hard drugs (in the movie).  This movies been and gone though and Americans won't care for it regardless if/when it's released.

a bunch of loutish British blokes picking up girls whilst getting shitfaced in a tacky holiday resort is totally relatable, you see those sorts of people on any crap night out attempting to get a leg over the sleaziest girl on the dance floor

i just watched the trailer and it really isn't that bad?? i don't get why everyone seems to be slating it, i mean it's not APOCALYPSE NOW or anything but i don't think it's trying to be a piece of classic cinema...
