Does RPG Maker XP works with Windows 7?

So, i am buying a new laptop, it has Windows 7, but i don't know if it works with rpgmxp, 'cause i use rpgmxp in my old one. so if someone knows please post.

It should do, you might have to run it in administrator or xp compatability mode, but I can't see why it wouldn't, it doesn't have a bitch fit like Vista whenever it encounters an older program.

It says Windows 7 is fine. Also 64 bit system not supported, but I use 64 bit but I have Vista and it works fine.

I'm currently running it on x64 Win7, and it works just fine.

I am running it on Win7 Pro 64-bit and I haven't encountered any problems yet.
RPG Maker XP is a 32-bit application but I doubt that will be a problem until we get 128-bit OS's. (Win7 64-bit does not support 16-bit applications)

As far as I know, Microsoft stopped support for 16-bit apps since Vista, or am I mistaken? :huh:

Accordingly to http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-cho ... g-systems/ you are able to run 16-bit apps in Windows 7 32-bit.
