Does playing violent video games make you a violent person?

Ok first off my opinion is no.

Now my explanation.

Ok I've looked at many things that are commonly found in serial killers and bank robbers, ect. ect.

Most of them say diseases like Ausbergers (I think thats how its spelled) Syndrom and others and stuff like bad parenting, negelection, ect.

Not on any lists have I seen PLAYED VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES. So that is one thing that makes me not believe violent video games cause violent people.

Now I have played several violent video games such as Halo, Grand Theft Auto, ect. and so have many of my friends. I don't think any of us would ever kill a person (except Sam but he has some of the things i listed above like Ausbergers syndrome) and I never plan to physically hurt soemone unless they attack me. For this reason I do know self defense karate.

But in other manner just because I play Halo that doesnt make me want to go and bring a gun to school and shoot someone because they beat me up or because they dont agree with me. And grand theft auto doesnt make me wana jack a ride, smoke cocaine, and run around with chainsaws sawing off peoples heads.

I believe that people play violent video games to release anger and take it out on fictional people. So I actually believe Video Games that are violent are very good and not bad at all. They are a safe confined way for people to release their emotions without any danger or harm and in a fun manner.

I don't see why this is a argument on this. All the person really needs to know is tell the difference between what's fake and what's not. Like a movie that is based on true events. Even that is fake, because even though the event may have occurred, the stuff portrayed in the film is fake. It's a bunch of bull shit. If you're to young to play the game and you can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy, then don't play the game. Simple as that.

Cancelling TV shows me violenyt people, but honestly it my not give someone the complex that haveto become a violent person, but I mean surely playing something like GTA SA could definitely give some kid a good idea on where go get stuff...guns, rocket launchers, etc...

Well, if they can't tell the difference of the stuff they can do in a game and the stuff they can do in real life they shouldn't be playing the game in the first place. You may be able to fly in a game but if you try that in real life let's say you won't be looking the same.

It all depends how impressionable you are. Like if you are a child and you're still learning what's right and wrong, but for some people it dosn't matter what age you are, they could screw you up or they won't at all.
