Does anyone might know what's wrong with me? (Health issue)

Starting like a 2 days ago, everytime I eat or drink something, my throat starts to hurt as food or liquid goes down the esophogus(sp?). Then, while food is being passed down to my stomach, my chest starts hurting too (Actually, it feels more like it's burning sometimes). Is this something serious? Or will it stop pretty soon?

See a doctor.

Self-diagnosis or a diagnosis by anyone who's not licensed to do so are a bad thing. They can make you think something serious is wrong when it's a common cold or that nothing's wrong and you've got a very serious condition.

So, don't ask about it over the internet. We're talking about your health here, not some silly issue that will have little to no consequence on your life.

It sounds like heartburn (you can get it so bad it can trick you into thinking you're having a heart attack; it also can burn holes in the esophagus), but yes, as Lunarea said, see a doctor.

If it's heartburn bad enough to cause digestion to be painful, it's a possibility there's a fissure in your esophageal tract and you can bleed out, like an ulcer. I had acid reflux, it's not fun, but easily treatable.

Again, see a doc.

See, problem is, I don't have access to a list of doctors that my parents have (Actually, I don't know where that list could be) and also, there isn't a doctor near me.

I posted here to see if I can get a quick answer. Someone told me it might be Acid Reflux. I looked it up and it's similar to something I'm experiencing. But, I want to know if this could be something else before I go in.

Based on those symptoms, it could be heartburn, acid reflux, tonsillitis, thermal burns, esophagitis, viral pharyngitis, panic attack, bleeding esophageal varices, dermatomyositis, epiglottis, or even something as obscure as scarlet fever. Really it could be anything. But as young as you are, it's probably just heartburn, so don't freak out too much.

But! If you experience blood in the mouth, trouble breathing, shooting pain in the arm, or stiffness in the neck, CALL 9-1-1 IMMEDIATELY. My husband is a 9-1-1 dispatcher; I know some about this crap.

If you know your insurance carrier, just go to their website and give them a call, they can tell you who your primary care doctor is.

It doesn't sound like tonsillitis, something that for half my childhood I was on first name terms with. Either it's everything else, or you gotta stop drinking cocainic acids...

Doctor. Hell, if you're like me and can't afford nothing and haven any insurance - free clinic!

Right. Most hospitals have free clinics attached to them, as well, if you're in a big city. If you're very concerned, you can call 9-1-1 and the EMT's can check you out for free; it only costs you $$ if you get transported (this applies in America .... I don't know about other countries). I wouldn't recommend it unless you experience the emergency symptoms, however, as they'd take quite a while getting to a non-emergency patient.

I know who my primary doctor is, it's just that she's never in after school and I don't know the number for her workplace so that they can arrange for me to see another doctor.

By the way, this problem doesn't happen everytime I eat or drink something. It's only sometimes but still, it's getting a bit worser. Since it's only been 2 days, I can probably just sit and see what happens. My parents will probably say it's because I'm not eating enough. Though that may be true, it's always their excuse for almost every medical problems that I suffer from.

You should see a doctor, even if it's a free clinic - it's not like anyone'll actually get in trouble or such.

but maybe listing exactly what it is might help. You might actually be allergic to something, you might have (crap can't spell it, my mother has it - can't eat certain spices, nuts, grains etc - diamaticulitus?) or anything else that might be somewhat more understandable based on food habits.

I don't think there's a free clinic in my city, at least as far as I'm aware of. I'll probably just ask my mom to make an appointment for next week since I'm getting a 2 week quarter break after tomorrow.

EDIT: Here's a list of things I ate/drinked during the past 2 days:

1. Hot Dog
2. Funnions
3. Pepsi
4. Fried Chicken
5. Boiled Chicken
6. Stir Fry
7. Milk
8. Water
9. Cereal

lol, that was a joke from Jakeyzombie. Forum games thing.

@ Hero: Try drinking some Maalox and getting more greens in your diet. If you drink some chocolate milk (with Nesquik, not syrup ... If you have none try thickening the milk with coffee creamer or just drink it straight if you have neither) and you start to feel a little better within an hour or so, it's most likely heartburn. If it feels worse, it could be lactose intolerance. Eating fried foods, organ meats (hotdogs), and corn syrup (pepsi) aggravates stomach acid.

Yes, you can "get" lactose intolerance. Sometimes it hits people later in life than earlier.

P.S., it's "drank", not "drinked". Sorry, that bothers me :')

Maalox? Never heard of it. Yeah, my city kind of sucks when it comes to the outside world. I'm probably one of the rarest people at my school. I mean a lot of things I already knew about the internet long ago were news to most of my classmates. Like how the government can track your IP for an example.

Anyway, yeah, I'll try to eat more greens. I never really cared for them and only ate them if they were cooked with the food.

EDIT: And by the way, my family never had a case of lactose intolerence so I don't think I will (If at all) any time soon. I always drink milk at least 3 times a day if I have some in the fridge and so far, my stomach doesn't hurt from it nor with any other dairy products.

Maalox = Indigestion medicine. Over the counter. Like TUMS or Pepto-Bismol, but I think Maalox works better. Costs about $6, can find it at any drugstore. I keep a bottle around the house all the time, never know when some buffalo wings or pizza's gonna make you regret waking up in the morning :')

Lol, yeah, I hear ya. I asked my mom about making a doctor's appointment but since I just turned 18 two months ago, she said that things might be a bit different with my health inssurance. However, she's gonna at least try so hopefully it all works out.

Nothing should be different. If you're American you're protected under your parents' insurance (if you're listed as a dependent and listed as a dependent in her insurance policy) until you're either 21, out of fulltime college, and/or over 25 (if still in fulltime college).

Legend!

After seeing the list of things you've ate in the past day or two, It's almost CERTAIN heartburn. Take it easy on the fried foods and carbohydrates, they cause heartburn the most.

If you have this again drink a tall glass of milk or take some Rennie (Is that in the US?) that's what I do when I sufer badly from it. It's usually around Christmas time when I eat like a fucking horse!

Thanksgiving is Monday for us. I don't think it's the same for everyone else, haha. So you better watch out then. I don't get heartburn though so I don't have to worry, and...there's a pharmacy just down the street...and we all know what the internet is. I'm sorry that you live in Yemen.

EDIT: I read that wrong. You knew THINGS about the internet, not ABOUT the internet. Haha, oh gosh.
