Do you think a KH game is better off without Disney or with?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, as I have never played a Kingdom Hearts game, but isn't that the basis of KH?  Without the Disney characters doesn't it just become a new Final Fantasy game?

In any case, I with those who think removing Disney from Kingdom Hearts doesn't make any sense.

So, after editing your question is more or less: Do you like the idea of the culminated franchises of both Final Fantasy and the possibility of the entire Disney catalog in one videogame?

I'm still lost by this.  Your making a Kingdom Hearts fangame, but you might not include Disney.  So basically your not making a Kingdom Hearts fangame, your making a Final Fantasy fangame along the lines of Marvel Ultimate Alliance only a full on RPG with the KH styled scripts?  Instead of having 1940's Cap' an the Ultimates Sgt. Fury and Spiderman team up, even though there from different times/universe your having Squall Cloud and Vivi team up?

Some original stuff was created for KH (in fact the upcoming PSP game has a huge amount of original content) I like the original KH stuff.
My favourite part of any KH game was the end of KH2 with Sora and Riku fighting Xemnas, I think KH could have been a good RPG on it's own, of course a ton of it was Disney/FF but it could have been replaced with original stuff.
Also this is probably gonna make me sound like an FF fanboy, that's fine, because I am one, I would have liked it with just FF and no Disney, original worlds or FF worlds or both, I think disney has too much of a role in KH, the series has a brilliant art style and a lot of great original characters, it could have been better.

When you choose "Yeah, of course", it's pretty apparent that you're saying that it's good with Disney. Notice the ending of the question. "Do you think a KH game is better off without Disney or with?" The question relates to the ending part of the question, there are many instances.

No it's not the same question, and no the original question does not make sense. Please read and think before answering.

If someone asked me if I wanted something WITH or WITHOUT something, my response would be to either say WITH or WITHOUT:

"You want your ice cream without or with a flake?"
"With a flake please."

I wouldn't just shout "YES". Not everyone thinks in the same mindset, so not everyone will link "Yes" with "With" or "No" with "Without".

An alternate way of doing this would be to ask about only ONE of the outcomes (i.e "Would KH be better WITHOUT Disney?"). Then you could give a definate yes or no question.

Basically, let us know exactly what we're answering. Are we saying yes to keeping Disney or ridding of Disney?

Believe it or not, the whole of the story at the current moment NEEDS Disney. Who else will take King Mickey's place? And don't you dare say Riku.

I clicked "Never"... I'm not sure if that's right.  :crazy: Next time you set up a poll, do it right. But, to be clear, Kingdom Hearts without Disney is just Final Fantasy with a couple of new guys. Take out the Disney, and it loses most of its endearing originality.

For me, the whole draw to Kingdom Hearts WAS Disney. I don't care what people say about Disney. I grew up to that stuff, from screaming like a girl at the witch from Sleeping Beauty, to like, watching Lion King a thousand times over (but I despise Chicken Little). The Disney element is part of the Kingdom Hearts charm. As people have said, take away the Disney and it's another Final Fantasy.

95% of the time you're in a Disney world, so... yeah.
Sora, Riku, Kairi and such are also owned by Disney, so they're tecnically Disney characters.

err, I'd love that logic to explain the disney logo in game>.< I Do belive it is called a joint venture. Also, disney has offices/bussinesses in japan, even a channel there, quite like in america. So why not release it there first?

The GAME is a joint project. The original KH characters were designed by Tetsuya Nomura, who is currently for Square Enix. I would believe that falls under Square's copyright. Anyways, the main game is designed by Square with Disney making sure SE doesn't fuck up the Disney characters and worlds too much. So...it's released in Japan first because it's made in Japan. =x

You know, as much as it smashes my suspension of disbelief into tiny pieces, Kingdom Hearts pretty much needs Disney. Otherwise, it'd start to take itself too seriously and degenerate into a tangled nightmare. I can only hear the words "heart" or "darkness" so often before I crack up. Disney levels offer a lighthearted break from everything heart-ish.

I've got a lot of hope for The World Ends With You as a sort of de-Disneyed Kingdom Hearts, though. Most of the same people responsible for Kingdom Hearts were on the development team, and its story seems fairly solid. I've already heard the soundtrack, too, and it's most excellent. ;3~

Yes because the Disney characters were really the bit that did it- not the space ship made of jelly or pods that put you in a coma.
