Did this ever happen to you? (Non-existant Web Server)

The topic title might be a bit confusing, sorry ^_^. Anyways, yesterday I was having trouble accessing my website. At first I thought the server was down so I thought nothing of it, but after I tried to ping the server my ping result was the server was not there. Confused I asked some people on MSN if they could get to my site and they all said it worked fine except one. The exception was one who sat on the same ISP as I.

My whole connection started to mess up Sunday morning (Around 3am). It took me all day to fix it, apparently my router screwed up and gave me a different itnernal IP then what I was supposed to have, I don't know how that happened. But at the time the connection just died. Coincidently, my internet connection died shortly after my neighbour passed away :P.

Anyways, once it was fixed I tried my site again and I still get the dreaded Page Cannot Be Displayed. I re pinged the domain and it was again apparently non-existant but others were going on fine. There I decided to ping my hosts site which I also cannot connect to. And it shows it is online and working. I also tried to Cache my site on Google but I still receive a Page cannot be displayed. I did an ad-aware scan and a registry scan but both scans showed there were no errors. So did something like this happen to you before and when it did do you know the cause and how to fix it?

Thanks,

Syn.
