If you don't want ladder items to be relative only to ladder I'd recommend looking else where. A petition will do absolutely nothing to Blizzard as it's their product, their baby. One of which they maliciously beat, as they no longer give a relative damn about it. Most unfortunate it is, but non the less it's reality. Personally, I fully endorse ladder only items, as if you're to lazy to restart on ladder, why do they have to rework a system for your needs? I never myself found restarting oh so difficult, I still got/found Torches, Enigmas, D-Shards, Gale Sells, Fletches, all the godlies without cheating/ebaying. Given I played it since release. But nonetheless, it introduces some form of enthusiasm towards restarting anew.

Furthermore it is now ladder season 2 I believe, maybe 3 as I stopped playing. It is not 09, but rather 11. And it is not a corrupt system, what extremely high prices, ladder prices are even worse. Have you ever played ladder? And furthermore yet, Blizzard condones the use of mules and if I am correct, states such malpractice may result in a banned account in their EULA. And to continue, I don't believe they would take the petition seriously in the first place as their newborn is WoW, but it's an online petition, of which, even if you ip block an individual after registering with the petition, through the use of proxies or a non static ip one could iterate signatures endlessly thus rendering it useless.
This isn't meant as a flame as it very well may be taken but rather as my personal opinion.
