DESU! -The Underground Alien Paradise- [concept thread]

SYNOPSIS:
It all began on a taping of a documentary show entitled "Secret Worlds Beneath", the crew of the said TV show found traces of an alien civilization on their site. It turned out that the historical site was a gateway to another world...

The Dangerous Extraterrestrial Suppression Union were called to investigate the alien world underneath our world.

WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?:
DESU! is a tokusatsu-influenced (Justice League + Masked Rider + Metal Hero + Power Rangers) action role-playing game where you can play as a group of different characters with superhero powers and gadgets.

To further explain DESU, as the titular organization, they work more of Justice League in Power Rangers SPD fashion, with lots of shoutouts from other superhero shows whether Western or Eastern.

And DESU! may sound Jap-whacking, but it suits what this game is all about, and possibly a handshake to the tokusatsu / live-action superhero TV genre.

THE PLAYABLE CAST:
(NOTE: The characters didn't make it to the final cut and now the development of DESU will be sped up, and the playable characters are only 3 and unnamed until now)

Haha, this plot sounds like a really good-because-it's-so-bad B-movie. Something they'd have a lot of fun with on MST3K. I like it. If you decide to go Hollywood-cheese with it I'm sure it'd add a whole lot of charm.

Apparently, the underground alien paradise thing is wholly based on an anime called Tokyo Underground, but with moar alien thingies.

Geez, no superhero-themed RPGs yet eh? I've heard two, and DESU! is included. And yeah... DESU! will have something funny in it.

If you want to see my level of expertise, I have a thread in the pixel section of the forum with some of the original Minkoff style battlers I'm working on. i would really like to help with charactersets though and such, check it out and let me know what you think? goodluck and later

In my initial brainstorming, those aliens are meant to be gray-skinned humans with strange armor ^_^, being environmental but doin' it in extreme means. I'll judge it soon

one more thing Eriol, will you be using your template for DESU!? i didnt want to start spriting anything until i knew for sure which template you'll be using and if you have any references for the aliens handy that you want me to use, thatd be cool. but if not i'll be glad to go by the info you stated.

Yeah, I'll use my Koemushi template. Right now, I'm working on some characters and starting to make fighting poses and the likes.
