Large Updates 7/3/10
Passwords
I'm still learning php, and upon finding the strtoupper() method I've now made all passwords in h4xx0r non-case-sensitive.
For example, if the password was previously Alan, you can now type "alan", "Alan", "ALAN", "aLAN", and it will work.
I have reduced ambiguity on the hotmail page. You now only need the ID part of the e-mail address. You can access it with either:
"USERID@hotmail.web", "USERID".
Again this too is not case sensitive, so you could even type "usErId@hOtMaIl.WeB" and it would work, or "useRId".
Terminal
The terminal is working quite well at the moment and forms the fourth password search.
Er... basically you'll know you've got the password if you can type "sudo make sammich" without it telling you you have fat fingers.
Type "help" in the terminal if you are unsure what to do. There are various *nix commands though they are bastardised and shat upon and simplified and electrified and systematic and automatic. Dundundundundundun go grease lightning etc etc.
"Begin" Menu
There's now a mock "start menu" on the right hand side of the screen.
This contains icons for the terminal, and also the web, which simply provides a link to the H4XX0R start page for anyone who gets lost.
This does hide some links (such as the google link off facebook); will fix shortly.
Quoted from the homepage:
Just to make you feel rubbish: 24 people have found the gmail password; 7 people have entered paypal; 5 people have entered hotmail. The game has been played 311 times.
"Game plays" are counted every time the link from
www.h4xx0r.in is clicked, it's not uniques (well it is, sort of, but if someone plays the game twice, then it counts that. It doesn't count all page views, just the amount of times people access the game from
www.h4xx0r.in)
The 24 people, 7 people, 5 people, are all genuine, minus 1 from each (myself). It uses cookies to make sure nobody is counted twice (within reason).
