There isn't a big issue about it anymore because I'm currently dating someone outside of my race. Only real issue are dealing with parents approval I guess. Other than that there is no real major issue with it. At least not that I'm aware of...

It does make for some interesting scenarios nonetheless.

Being the product of a white woman, and a black man I can say that here in MormonTown - no, nobody looks down on it. It just never, ever happens.
I don't think anyone has ever assumed my mom is my mom. I've actually been places where people have assumed my brother is her son, and subsequently asked me who I was.

So, nope - not looked down upon. But here, people are far from ever accepting and understanding relationships like that.

Would I date outside of my race? Well, what is my race exactly, for one? I've always been weird about answering that on things, just because it sort of seems like I should mark 'other' but at the same time...I'm not really 'other'
