Darwiin Remote - Wii remote on your computer!

I stumbled on something called Darwiin Remote, it connects your Wii remote to your Mac as an input device. I've been using it for Unreal Tournament, it's a bit sensative, but it's absolutely cool!
You can get it here - http://blog.hiroaki.jp/2006/12/000433.html
(There's a PC version too, for any PC owners who want to try this Linky)
It's pretty impressive. Sadly if you want to use the IR pointer you'll need to make a receiver yourself.
You have to tilt the wii remote to move the cursor. The arrow keys are mapped to the Wii remote.
We can start making RMXP games that use the Wii remote :)
Now how cool would that be?

Your thoughts please.

lol, while it'd be great for the novelty of it.. making rmxp gamees that use a wii remote would be a terrible idea in the sense that hardly anyone would have the pc wiimote. =P

The receiver uses IR, so you could Modify the Nintendo Sensor Bar, or make it from scratch, which would be hard.
If you own a Wii remote and have bluetooth enabled computer then you can use this program. I'm gonna try to find out if the motion sensor and tilt functions can be incorporated into Ruby/RGSS.

Doesn't stop it from being extremly cool though.
And it's apparent that the news of this hasnt arrived to rmxp.org until now.

There's a thread for that already, just for Windows, though... you don't even need a special something for it, aside from a couple of adjustments you need to do... can be perfectly used as a mouse.

And yet, why would you? What's wrong with a mouse? Aside from trying to do graphical work with a mouse, the thing works excellently. And I can't imagine pointing a wand at the screen would work much better for doing art. But hey I could be wrong, someone should try it. And make a video of it.

The controller extensions are compatible, it isn't just used as a mouse, it can be configured as a joypad, and wouldn't it be great to have wario ware style rmxp games, like if you have a wii remote then you could unlock a series of minigames.
C'mon guys, use your imagination.

The IR Receiver isn't actually a receiver, it transmits IR red light, it doesn't receive it! So there are lots of guides on how to make a new one yourself easily.
