Dark Luna

The world of Namine was divided in to two areas. Torainia was the West, Shinju was the East. King Nahris, of the West, was kind, and put the people first. King Shiro, of the West, however, was a bum. There were hardly any humans in his army. His army was lead by a monster named Diabolos.
It possesed the ability to create a clone of any person. The actual army consisted of undead, zombies, gargouiles, anything that loved to fight. One day,
Nahris and Shiro met. Shiro said that his army could defeat Torainia in their sleep. It went on and on, and it ended up with " If your army's so great, we'll have to fight and see! " from Shiro. In Torainia, anyone who could fight had to board to the City of Water. Fourteen year old Luna and her sixteen year old brother Iru were among them. When they reached the battle, Luna had a plan.
Luna knew a little bit of magic, including a sacrificial spell. By using that, she sacrificed herself to erase everyone's memories of why the battle started.

From the age of four, Luna wanted to be a fighter. For ten years, she studied and practiced. At fourteen, she became an official fighter. She will do anything to protect her brother, as he would her.

Iru is Luna's older brother. He is two years older than her. He also would do anything to protect his family. he is the more quiet of the two siblings.

Kitana: (Non-Playable) Luna and Iru first meet Kitana in the City of Water. Her and her parents can turn into cats at will. She has a crush on Iru, and gives him her Aiko Ring, after you complete the Ice Room Puzzle.

I credit the creator of the Cheats Input Script, and the person who made the YingYang windowskin, and everything else is RMXP and Photoshop, and Naramura for the sprites and art.

You really need to improve your mapping and i'm not too keen on the windowskin at all, it collides with itself.

But yeah the main issue is your mapping, its outragiously spacey and badly linear and boxed, give you maps more detail.

  • Add shubery and plantation
  • Give your maps more shape instead of making them square
  • Dont repeatedly use the same object and place loads everywhere

Go to the tutorial section and find the mapping tutorial...quickly! Before the bad map bug gets you.
 
Hah, Your the third person I've seen on RMXP.net/org who has made a game with main character as Luna after I decided to post it. And that was about 3 years ago? Anyways it looks good, I like the character styles, good luck with this project :)

saves everyone and eradicates everyones memory?

Come on, that's high magic only priests and sorcerers
are supposed to have. a 'little bit' of magic won't cut
that. a 'little bit' of magic is making a flame in your hand,
or a little bit of light healing.

besides, 14? How many people of 14 are aware of the
fact they can sacrifice themselves to save their people?
What kid of 14 has that kind of realisation? Or such
bravery?

You state she wanted to be a warrior. A fighter.
Not an all powerful mage.

No good sir... This doesn't sound convincing at all.

Edit: I mean, kind Lady... or so your Gender indicates.
 
Those maps look really plain, the flagstones on the edge of the grasslands don't line up properly with the bridges either.
A lot of those plain grassy areas could use some trees and bushes, different types of ground, perhaps some contours. I find with mapping that less is more. A smaller, more enclosed looking area can sometimes work better than a huge empty one.
 
I know, the story needs work. I haven't worked on it in a long while now, because I've been trying to fix a bug in another game, called Fiore Runes which I have pretty much given up on because I accidentaly deleted a 28 event effect long event because I did something that made the main character run around in circles really fast...':| But I didn't put this in for some reason... Luna is talking to Kitara about the fact that she and Iru were shipped off to fight in the war, and Kitara mentions that she knows a memory erasing spell that could stop it, but can't fight because she didn't learn magic from an official tutor, but it costs your life, and Luna wants to learn it, and sort of forces Kitara to teach her.

When the demo is out, pay attention to the cutscene shortly after the Ice Chamber puzzle is comepleted, it'll sort of explain. Buuuut, I should have put it in at first. So sorry.':|
 
Honestly looking at the screenshots the mapping is terrible. Mine was too when i first started. Detail, detail and more detail. Read tutorials and practise (x1000). It seems too be the are where you could quickly show a lot of improvement!

King Shiro, of the West, however, was a bum.

Very professional adaquate description :P

14 is very young. But I will wait and see how this project turns out before I judge it anymore. ^_^
