Cutscene help (really annoying!!!!)

Right, how do I make it so that when I stand on a certain spot, a guy shows an animation of him killing a monster?

I have the guy stood next to the ghost and hes on a switch. the spot on the ground turns on the switch when you stand on it, but the guy doesn't do anything. I have to go up to him and press the action button. and if I put him on autorun, the game freezes.

What do I do to solve this ??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You can play the animation from the "Switch" event, and just tell it to play on the "Ghost" event using the "Character" parameter.
The "Ghost" event will be empty, unless you want that event to do something when the action button is pressed.

"Autorun" will begin to execute as soon as you enter the map, and will keep running (freeze the game) until you turn it off using a self-switch & an additional Event Commands page.

Be Well

Okay, make the guy and the ghost. On the guy, make a new event page, and set the Conditions to "Switch on: Switch 0001" (it can be any switch). In that second page, set the guy to autorun, make him kill the ghost, then put self-switch A = on. Make a third page, and set the Conditions to Self-switch A. (This'll prevent him from doing it over and over again, thus freezing the game.)

Now, on the ground tile next to the guy, set the Trigger to Player Touch (this'll make it so it activates if you stand on it). Then in the event commands, turn Switch 1 on, and turn self-switch A on. Create a new page here and make the Condition self-switch A to make that stop repeating.

And that's pretty much it. If you're still having problems, you should check out some tutorials about switches and self-switches. Good luck,
Regimos
