Crazy Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tube-Man INSIDE! Update 3.

These are shaping up, but damn I was expecting to see a real Crazy Inflatable Arm-Flailing Tube-Man spirte, every spriter and game designer should have one!

Oh well, you shattered my dreams... Anyway as I said before these are getting better edit 1 looks more like a springing action for a sword attack where she would jump up and do a spin attack to hack a head off, imho. :P

While the movments are well animated I think you need to think about what she is doing. This is for a battle idle right? So try to make her slightly bending her knees and maybe just breathing. If she did all that she would be way too tired to battle. XD Try moving around doing what she is doing in the mirror and modify it something a bit more subtle.

Hey, that looks like a good workout routine!

I agree with Raven. Just use the first pose you worked on, exaggerate her knee bends a little less, and have her chest move a little for breathing. Maybe a liiittle sway of the hand. As it is, she looks like she's a quarter of the way into lunging at something, then keeps changing her mind.

I'll just say that my FIRST experiment is concluded.  I'll stop updating this and next time I have a new sprite with Experiment 2 I'll make a new thread.

I plan to clean up the style's looks, mainly the shading, and of course actually plan the animations in advance so I don't get a dancing effect.

I really like the proportions of the sprite.  And you also managed to get fine details like fingers and facial features in there, too.  There are some nice details in the boots that get lost, so you may want to increase the contrast in the color palette.

The animation, if this is an idle pose, is too exaggerated.  I think you should limit the movement to 1/4 of the total motion you have now.  The animation in itself is very smooth, and I'm eager to see where you're taking your tests.
