Well, if I can't get my Gosu fixed up, I'll have to drop out...

It won't load any gosu stuff(other ruby scripts work).

Anyone know why that is? (I'm using Windows, if that helps)

Did you "gem install gosu"?

Do you have:

require 'rubygems'
require 'gosu'

So when is it due in?

Well nobody seems to be interested at the moment. :¦(

oh, i don't have 'require rubygems'(and yes, i installed via gem).

EDIT: Nope, still doesn't work. It has a blank DOS window with the cursor thing flashing, and if you click the close button, it says it needs more time to finish a process, but in a full-hour it wouldn't load.(The full-hour test was before i added the rubygems require)

Plus, it worked fine yesterday, and I've even reinstalled gosu.

I'm sure there's probably a way around it but that's how I've been doing it. :thumb:

Myself I've been messing around with online gear. Sockets and IRC and shit. IRC went badly, but online in general (using a Netplay+ server) worked. Worked as in sent and recieved data fine; no actual functionality yet. But because it's using the actual classes using require it should be more powerful than Netplay+.

Yeah, but it still won't load the program(check my edit). Got any ideas there?

(If you couldn't tell, I really want that mug)

Awsome, you got me looking forward to seeing it know.. :P

well im just going to do a basic RPG, like Divine divinity or something.

Well, I've posted my issue on the Gosu google code page, but it doesn't have any replies so far... do we have a Gosu support forum?

Well, I should be able to get my game done(though the deadline better not be this month...). And people, clear a path, because the mug is mine.

EDIT: Question, can I use an image editor? Also, can I use RMXP tiles/characters?

An image editor is fine, yeah.

RMXP tiles/charactersets are ok I guess, I mean it's more the system behind the graphics that is important than the graphics themselves.

Ok. I'd hoped there's be more interest than this but, the contest still stands.

The final deadline for submissions will be 20th October 2009. (Leaves a month of working and room to breathe for if we want to do anything hallowe'eny.)

If you feel that's too short we can change it.

Your submission can be anything, made with Gosu, that you think is "cool" enough to win. It doesn't have to be a game. It could just be a... a movie, an animation, a minigame, a game mechanic, a plugin. The most imaginative and best made, and most thought out, will win.

Crap, and my project is nowhere near done...

Ok, I can finish a 3d engine a script 15 large levels, create like 20 items and 7 guns, all in 8 days... maybe...
