Following is a list of all the BBCode available to users, and how to use them.

1. Text Formatting

BOLD TEXT

[b]Your Text Here[/b]

Makes the contained text bold.


ITALIC TEXT

[i]Your Text Here[/i]

Creates italic text.


UNDERLINE TEXT

[u]Your Text Here[/u]

Creates underlined text.


STRIKETHROUGH TEXT

[s]Your Text Here[/s]

Creates text with a line through it.


HIGHLIGHTED TEXT

[bgcolor=#hash]Your Text Here[/bgcolor]

Highlights text in the given #hash color.


SPACED OUT TEXT

[sp]Your Text Here[/sp]

Renders text with spaces intact.


PRE-TEXT

[pre]Your Text Here[/pre]

Renders text as a computer would (useful for ASCII art).


TEXT FONTS

[font=Font Name]Your Text Here[/font]

Renders text in the chosen font, if a viewer has said font.


ALIGNMENT

[center]Your Text Here[/center]
[right]Your Text Here[/right]
[justify]Your Text Here[/justify]

For aligning text on the screen.


FONT SIZE

[size=100]Text[/size]

Creates text of a certain size, as a percentage of the normal size.

2. Positioning and boxes

QUOTE

[quote="Name"]Your Text Here[/quote]

Displays quoted text in a quote box.


CODE

[code]Your Code Here[/code]
[code=RGSS]Your Code Here[/code]

Displays code in an easily viewable code box. You can choose from a variety of programming languages; RGSS is best for the RPG Maker forums.


LIST

[*]Item 1
[*]Item 2
[/list]

Creates a bullet pointed list.

list=1 uses numbers instead of bullet points.
list=a uses letters.


FLOAT

[float=left]Text[/float]
[float=right]Text[/float]

Floats text next to other items.


INFOBOX

[infobox=Title]Text[/infobox]

Creates a box with a title, for storing stuff.


SPOILER

[spoiler=Title]Text Here[/spoiler]

Puts things in a box, hiding them until a button is clicked. Good for storing lots of information.


iSPOILER

[ispoiler]Text[/ispoiler]

Creates a classic spoiler, i.e. blacked out text, for revealing secrets.


HORIZONTAL RULE

[hr][/hr]

Creates a horizontal breaker line.


BREAK

[br][/br]

Creates a line break, for use in the top right box and other quickpost boxes that only accept one line.


URL

[url=URL]Text[/url]

Creates a hyperlink.


LOCAL URL

[lurl=URL]Text[/lurl]

Creates a hyperlink which opens in the same page.


ANCHOR

[name]Title[/name]
Creates an anchor that you can access with a #hashtag in the url.


QUICKSEARCH

[qs]Word[/qs]

Links to a forum search for Word.

3. Images and Media

IMAGE

[img]URL[/img]

Displays an image from a URL.


IMG AJ

[imgaj]URL[/imgaj]

Displays an image as large as possible. Use sparingly.


IMAGE ZOOM

[imgzoom]URL[/imgzoom]

Creates an image with zoom options.


IMG ALT TEXT

[imgalt]url,text[/imgalt]

Creates an image with "text" as an alt text.


YOUTUBE VIDEO

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blarghyblargh[/youtube]

Displays a youtube video. URL MUST be in this format!


THUMBNAIL

[thumb]URL[/thumb]

Displays an image smaller that can be clicked for a larger showing.

4. Things To Use Sparingly

MARQUEE

[marquee]Text[/marquee]
[marqueer]Text[/marqueer]
[marqueed]Text[/marqueed]
[marqueeud]Text[/marqueeud]

Displays scrolling text in various directions. For left and right, width can be specified with an =.


INVERT

[invert][/invert]

Attempts to display text in white-on-black. Use sparingly and do not abuse.


BACKGROUND

[background=URL]#color[/background]
[backgroundl=URL]#color[/backgroundl]

Displays a background, does not repeat. The "L" version aligns it to the left.

[backgroundfull=URL]#color[/backgroundfull]
[bgall=URL]#color[/bgall]

Displays a repeating background (duplicate entry).
