Common Event Call has exceeded maximum limit.

I'm working on a little project of mine and it was all going well until I hit a little snag. I'm on RPG Maker XP and every time I try to call upon a Common Event that redirects me to another Common Event if 5 seconds on a conditional timer have passed, otherwise if the C button is pressed it performs an animation (the Common Event is called on when an event touches the player), I try to perform the animation to trigger the conditional timer using the C button and it is supposed to let me perform the animation again if I am not touched by the event for 5 seconds. Instead, however, when pressing the C button, it just pops up with an error stating:

Common Event Call has exceeded maximum limit.

Ideas and suggestions? Much appreciated. :thumb:

That sounds really weird, man. I've made systems that have had twenty and thirty common event calls, I wasn't aware that there was a limit.

Do you have any zany scripts that might be interfering? Then you have popups like this, that's usually what the problem is -- a script.

I found out the problem. I had the timer and the condition of the timer neccesary to redirect the eventing system to another Common Event, at the same time. So, yes, an infinite loop which would be past the limit.

That problem generally occurs when you try to call the same common event through a common event. Something like this:

EDIT: Oh, so you already figured it out.
