Ever wondered what about happen if one were to pick up Victorian-era characters and art style and mash them up with bears with ill-fitting hats?

Neither have I, but it appears someone has. The result is pure, Victorian bliss, minus the naked prepubescent children.

Wondermark is a web comic that features modern, witty dialogs over monochrome, eighteenth century scenery. It's demented, twisted, 94% opium-less than your average eighteenth century comic, and, in the author's own words, naught but ribaldry and poppycock. Twice a week.

These are funny, but the style isn't what makes it funny. They need to play more into the victorian thing and less into the modern dialogue thing.
