combining large tilesets

Is there a maximum size on tilesets? Because I was trying to combine two rather large tilesets (one that is every tileset that comes with the game combined and the other is an outdoor tileset off the internet). Both tilesets work seperately. But when I try to combine them in photoshop it won't let me save it in the right format. Is there some way I can get them together and in the right format?

There isn't a maximum size, although having too large a tileset will cause lag in the editor. As long as the width is right, and the height is divisible by 32, the tiles should work.

How exactly are you saving the edited tilesets, anyway? PNG is the best format.

how are you combining them?

you have image a and b

make sure theyre set to rgb color rather than indexed

set canvas size of "image a" to "width x (a+b)'s height"

anchor the image to the top of the canvas when you do this, make sure "snap" is on. drag b into a, line them up, save as a png, import, done

ya the problem was that when I increased the canvas size, it didn't let me save it as a png for some reason. but the height wasn't divisible by 32 either... watever. I am pretty busy but once I get around to messing around with it I'll let u kno if I figure it out
