Cog Knight RPG Maker Management Software Suggestions and Discussion

Cog Knight is a VB application that stores all your RPG Maker games in one folder, gives you instructions on how to add games, has downloadable RPG Maker games from within the application, and helps developers of games.
To launch a game you simple click on the Games tab, select the game and click launch, Cog Knight automatically goes into the game's folder and runs Game.exe
Also, if your game folder has a shortcut to your website (shortcut called website.url) then a button on Cog Knight takes the user to that particular game's website.
At the moment it's functions are designed for the user and people looking for resources, but it will also be able to allow developers of games to easily publish their game on the Cog Knight Downloads page, so users of Cog Knight can see the game, download it and install it into the Cog Knight Games folder. In future I will also implement on the Downloads page the ability to rate games, so the top rated game would be on the front of the Downloads page and games will have their rating displayed next to it.

The bar at the bottom will hold options such as Contacts, so if you have a team of people making your game you can keep all their details there, and Add Project page so you can easily add your project onto Cog Knight for them all to see.

I am taking suggestions and ideas from users, so if you think it should have an RMXP to RMVX sprite converter or anything like that just say and I'll see what I can do.

(Also, any MySQL skilled PHP designers please help out, I've never use MySQL and it's being a pain in the arse already)

This looks insanely awesome, however I do have one question:
Will it support all RPG Maker programs? The way you have it going it sounds to me like it might even be able to work with non RPG Maker software that uses similar folder set-up.

I also think that if you could get it to work, a sprite converter would be awesome, however that would be really tough to do. Wouldn't they just come out looking like the just got stretched or squished?

It supports any application with a Game.exe in it's main folder.
By sprite converter, what I meant was chop up VX and make it 4x4 grid, or chop up XP, delete far left row. It was just a random idea from the top of my head, any suggestions like that would be fine though. I will make it so there is a folder for RPG Maker tools, so RPG Maker made programs are kept seperate from RPG Maker games, also I just realised I also need to make shortcuts to RPG Maker VX and XP inside the application.

I am also allowing developers to add in their own adverts for their games, so when the application starts a popup of an advert for a random game shows.

In that case, the sprite converter sounds great! I hope to see this completed, if it works out as planned, this could possibly be the very heart of RPG Maker game design!

Popups are a MAJOR turn off to any program or website.

Can be turned off with the first option in Settings. It's there for game developers to advertise their project some more to players, the application is for developers just as much as gamers.
