Codenamed: Bloody Horrible

Is the name of this god-aweful thread. I'm trying to make pictures with GIMP. Practicing now, but the main objective is to be able to make concept art and other things for my RMXP game(and future career).

The game is called Tales of Passion. Don't bother looking for it, it hasn't been posted anywhere...yet lol.

Behold are the bloody images I made in the past 3-4 hours. If I can get the anatomy right on these things...then there might be hope.

The second image was my first. For some reason, it reminds me of Izzy from Digimon Adventure.

What were you using to draw them? A mouse? Get a tablet, or use the path tools- Also, try to add in a little consistency.

Also, it's spelled god awful. Maybe you were trying to go for something else with 'aweful', but you're not doing a good job of being awe inspiring.

Firefox corrected the word to be that way. Anyway, I made a new sketch. This was done on paper. I more skilled when I draw in a Dagonball style..

I guess it ain't bad. But I still need practice. I just got Manga Studio, so I'll see what that does. I normally would try making characters using lineart with GIMP...you saw how that turned out lol

I recommend not starting with anime. You need to learn anatomy before you can experiment with distorting it, and anime will teach you bad habits and not give you the underlying structure you need to make your art look good.

Yes, I know this. I actually just found this out during the weekend. So I decided to try and learn how that stuff goes. It'll really help.

I think you need a lot of practice. Start with your pencils and paper, not a tablet.
And whatever you start drawing with anime or realism, PRACTICE ANATOMY. It's really important.
