Code to add actor

Ok I am looking for a small bit of code that just adds an actor, but does nothing if you already have 6 actors...

But for now, just the code that adds actor number x (I will fill in the x spot)

$game_party.add_actor(actor_id) unless $game_party.actors.size == 6

ok thanks I will try it ok figures.. it didnt work....

My problem is...

If you are in a battle and try to add an actor by that script or by just the game party actors - add -ect... it dosnt work but yet when you arnt in battle it does work... if there maybe like an extra script I can add to my script files to reenforce the giving of the actor, I have alot of scripts that might be interfering
