I dunno. I feel like there should be more to black characters than skin tone. How do draw books don't really dive into ethnicity. And anime always tries to give people really narrow noses. It just doesn't read "black" to me. Full lips go a long way especially when you're looking at line art. Noses come in different sizes but "wide" without a predominate bridge feels best to me. There are a lot of shapes and facial structures I still need to explore. But the biggest problem is once you start adding definition to things like the nose, mouth, cheek bones, it loses it's simplicity and doesn't looks like anime.
