Character Picture, is it good?

Hi, I was just wondering what you all think about this, please tell me!

I haven't put it through gimp yet, just freshly drawn.

Cool, but I would like to see it colored, or just to see wich colors will you use.

It's rather plain, a design I'd expect of an NPC.

The drawing isn't bad though. She appears to be leaning back a little. Rotate it be a degree or so when you GIMP it.

My opinions on style would be biased here. I'm a fan of more gritty, sketchy, angluar art styles. Jet Set Radio is my graphical fetish; as it were.

Which wouldn't be really suited to traditional-style character design/attire. But it'd be interesting if you tried. http://community.livejournal.com/harvesters/423.html would be one method of doing it the OMG EDGY MODERN way.

I can't say I really like it, but it's not anything specific on your part, maybe. It just looks like a generic anime face to me. But, there's some people who cream themselves silly, so I wouldn't take it to heart.

Also, maybe more personalized style would come out in the colorwork.

And, I like the front bangs with the low-placed clips. A subtle nod to Nu Mous?

Nu Mous? I don't know what that is, but I'm having a problem, my gimp is acting up, and I can't color it, so perhaps some one else would like to?

The Nu Mou race is an obscure Ivalacian race of beings. I've never seen a character design of one of those cocker spaniels without some kind of weighted ear piece on, like so:

If you tried restarting GIMP, and restarting your computer, and restarting everything, I dunno, sounds like you're fucked.

If it were me, I'd completely uninstall GIMP, including ripping the script-fu out, and reinstalling the program. Probably something got corrupted or whatnot, and it's not like reinstalling would do any harm.

Just a note, no one else notice her right breast is oddly shaped? Either have the shirt cut in below them or have the breast curve further down. Just atm, they look like half a watermelo stuck to her ribs. ((Breasts can be a pain to draw))
