Character drawings

:tongue2: I decided to make a thread in the arts section. Lately I've been drawing this one character in different ways. The hair style and clothing is the same.
I made this a little while ago:

This was drawn earlier this year same character:

The old one look more anime-ish? Idk, I never had a grasp on what is considered anime and what isn't.
The newer one reminds me of the Ken doll I used to chew on as a baby.
I don't really stick to one style.

Just for kicks. Heres some more character drawings I've done this year:

Most of my drawings don't get past the sketches. I'm to lazy to clean them up and color them. I have a Deviantart gallery too, but there's not much in it. Looking at it I'd say I upload something every other month or so. If you want to see it I'm sure you could figure out the url.

your art style is very different then some of the others I have seen here. I like your choice of artness, only not the choice of the 3rd to last and 2nd's head shape/2nd's over shirt's wrinkles. Try to change them to look more like the others you made. I know not much of a crit, all I can say is keep doing it!

good job!

The last two were made as battlers that are suppose to match the battlers made by Pickel/IceAxe
I finished the second to last one a long time ago, I just didn't have any later versions up in photobucket already.
Here's the finished battler: http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r134 ... Dennis.png[/img]
I never finished the last one. The guy I made them for left the rpg making biz. I made a lot for him, I planed on uploading them all to the download section when and if it the forums get it up and working again. So they won't go to waste.
I should mention that all the battlers were designed after sprites that I didn't make. But I did have a little artistic freedom in the details you wouldn't see on a sprite like the weapons and such.
Isn't it weird for a guy to wear a long coat AND a cape? Not my idea I swear.

Your pickle/iceaxe drawings really aren't interesting, but the style in the third and fourth drawings are awesome. I'd definitely focus on your new style.

You mean the guy with the sunglasses?

Treg wanted someone to make facesets but in a style that wasn't cartoon/anime like. So this guy was practice to see if I could do it. I never finished any facesets for Treg thou, I might be doing more for him in the future.

Battler has great flow, great color choice, and has a look that reminds me of the axe gang.
Casual yet... hurty. However, the chaotic warrior under him has a lot to be wanted. I feel that it was the color choice of the warrior, slightly awkward pose with the sword, and the general lack of motion depicted by the swing, cloak, and facial expression that brings the picture down. A more expressive pose would help the execution a great amount. The concept is fine, and its not the problem.

The colored busts of the man with the red hair are ace, though.

Showing off this doodle piece I made in an hour. Started with a sketch then built up the values in black and white and then added color. I cropped out most of it because it looked horrible. Drawing ugly people is easy isn't it? I only like the left side of her face.

The skin is too glossy and I drew too small. I drew it with my tablet. I think professional artists draw willy big. Like in 300dpi files. And then shrink it down to a nice viewable size and post it on the web. I computer wouldn't handle it.

The picture is pretty decent. Just needs some anatomy and lighting work.

-Try not to stick with the soft edge brush. It gives off a muddy feeling.
-The rim lighting was a nice try, but make it thicker so it can stand out more.
-Try to use the least amount of brush strokes as possible.
-Use the biggest brush you can get away with.
-Your not cheating if you use reference. Humans can't remember everything.

Overall, nice work. Keep it up. You'll get better.

I like the general shape of it, but something about her lips catches my eye. You were going for her sticking her lips out a bit right? Because I think the right side looks a bit too full in that case, and if not then her lips look a little off center. But for just a doodle thats pretty good!
