[Character Development] - Doctor Who: The Time War (RPG)

NOTE: I am really going to need some help with this. Especially with tilesets and some charsets. I am going to be using music from Sakari-Infinity. Basically, I want to try and get a team together for this, but anyway;

I had made a topic before about this game, but that one was just the idea of a Doctor Who RPG. This one has a lot more storyline and character information.

Go here if you don't know what Doctor Who is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho

The Plot so far....
The Paul McGann (8th) doctor is fleeing from the time lords who want to force him to stay on Gallifrey for the time war (I will come up with a reason why he does not want to stay there later.) When he tries to escape, the time lords try to use a 'tractor beam' to pull the TARDIS back to Gallifrey. He manages to break free of the beam, but in doing so, he creates a hole in the TARDIS, causing part of the time/space vortex to flood through the TARDIS, damaging the TARDIS and mortally wounding the Doctor, which causes him to regenerate into an unseen regeneration between Paul McGann and Christopher Eccelston. The TARDIS then violently lands in a university storage room on Earth in the year 2034.

Meanwhile, Luna (who will become the Doctor's companion) who is studying at the same university, notices something strange in one of the storage rooms and opens it to find the TARDIS and the newly regenerated doctor who is staggering around in pain and making random quotes from famous figures of history. The exact plot is to be continued, but if you haven't worked it out yet, the game is going to be based around the time war.

Character Briefs (Not their underwear)
-Please note that they are not the world's best character layouts, as I kind of just scribbled things down as they came into my head
The Doctor (Some of this goes without saying)
 Wears: Formal white collared shirt with a short ‘curved’ light blue dining jacket, full length trousers in the same style, black boots and a black bow tie. He may remove the jacket from time to time.
 Build: Tall. Slightly odd looking, light brown hair, short hair with some curls. Skinny
 Background: 880 years old. Alien known as a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey. He is on the run in his time and space ship called the TARDIS, from his own species after they captured him and forced him to regenerate in preparation for a possible war.
 Personality: Eccentric, cheeky towards those in positions of power, slightly witty, has no respect for “sophisticated places”, he will commonly raise his tone of voice up and down depending on his emotion. Will give his life for those close to him.
 Body Language: Occasionally moves around in the style of a jazz dancer when happy. May sometimes make odd movements or hand gestures (no rude jokes please). Has a habit of spinning on one foot when he turns to speak to people.

Luna, The Doctor's Companion
-Wears: Casual clothes, meaning all types of t-shirts, jeans etc. May change her outfit several times.
-Build: Skinny, black hair, not necessarily superly attractive
-Background: A university student who is studying history, as she wants to become an archaeologist (The Doctor will make fun of this). Unlike other companions, both her parents were killed in a car crash when she was 19, she's lived alone ever since.
Personality: Luna is quite cheeky and will not sit back in a corner when something exciting is happening, but she is also greatly concerned for the safety of everyone around her in these situations. She can also be the sort of person who is likely to say "I told you so". She is quite intelligent and quickly catches on to how people act and think.
Body Language: Normal, gen-y type body language.

Other Characters I plan to bring back.....
-Romana
-Ace (you will finally find out what happened to her.....)
-Susan
-Possibly the Time Meddler
-The UNIT lot

Other Information
Game Format: Split into 14 "episodes or chapters"
Party System: Up to 8 people in a party, all controlled by the player
Battle System: GuibiD's Tactical Battle System
World Map: Map of space, places gradually become available as the story advances. Each "place" will have a certain amount of storyline on the map (puzzles, etc), then there will be one or two battles. Afterwards, you can go back and do side quests and explore areas that you couldn't get to before.

You may be able to train for battles/repeat battles in an area of the TARDIS.

"Episode "Guide"
1 - Strangers
2 - An Unwelcome Return
3 - The True Enemies
4 - The Fall of Arcadia (The Doctor actually references to this in a new series episode!)
5 - Claustrophobia
6 - Rescuing The Doctor
7 - Genocide
8 - External Sources
9 - The Greatest Weapon in The Universe
10 - Delta Wave
11 - Last Hopes
12 - The Ultimate Sacrifice

I hope to have actual live cutscenes at the start and end of each chapter, but it probably won't happen.

In The End: Wait and see!

Something I may do: If I do have live cutscenes, the Doctor won't regenerate into Christopher Eccelston at the end of the game, in hope of creating one of many doctor who youtube series....

A doctor who game is certainly intruguing and not done enough around here.

Just be sure, since this is a character development thread, that the doctor has a unique and interesting personality. He has to have a cool and unique wardrobe - probably from some point in history. Hell, look at the difference between Eccleston and Tennant's portrayals of Doctor Who - which are picked up on when he changes body.

I think this certainly has potential and I'm glad you want to develop your characters before beginning.

Just also make sure that his sidekick ("Luna") is also interesting as a character and not just some tart he picked up along the way >.>.

Actually this seems like an interesting concept.. it could work if you know, and have a bit of understanding if Doctor Who.. Of course, who needs an excuse to watch Dr. Who.. that's a good program. Good luck with this..
