Changing to Linux.

OOooohh... hehe, I have a new idea....
but I can't install Linux just yet... I might kaboom my PC, I'll just ask my dad's computer guy first.
Thanks Nphyx you just opened up another world of possibility. Ohh yea does this converter thing work for the PS3 or only for the PC?

Virtualbox or Wine?  In either case I have no idea.  I imagine not because PS3 is not based on x86 architecture (it runs CELL processors), which means that a virtual machine has to actually emulate that architecture, rather than just partition away some resources to run software that already runs natively in them.  CELL is so different from x86 I imagine even porting Linux native apps to it takes quite a bit of effort for reasons probably too technical to go into here.

I have to warn you though don't expect running games to be an easy ride, it does take a lot of effort compared to just sticking in a CD and clicking install.  Its more like getting a game to run in DOS, not that you'd remember that :D

Aww, I hoping to install PC games on the PS3 coz my PC is 3 years old, and I want to run games on it with setting maxed out. Anyway thanks Nphyx.

Yeah there is but Etheon knows he's missing my reference, the bastard!  I was referring to running an actual DOS PC back when simply getting your game to play with your sound & video card was like pulling teeth and involved lots of config file editing and command lines. It's a DOS emulator for Windows & Linux, development goes at a snail's pace for it in my experience though to be honest I haven't played with it in about 5 years.

Hey, I got games running off a ColorPC, and lemme tell you, it's much, much harder than on a DOS. On cold days, you have to let the hard drives heat up for a good thirty minutes, and then turn it off, wait a couple of minutes, and then you can turn it back on to play. ColorPCs really didn't age well.

Haha, I don't think I ever ran one.  That sounds something like the magical means of getting an old NES to play nice.
