Changing Button Purposes

Hey, I was wondering if you can change what each button does.  By default, the "B" button in RMXP is for the Main Menu or the Go Back button.  The "C" button is the Confirm button.  Is there any way I can change that around so for example, the main menu/go back button is "Y", or how about splitting them so that the Main Menu is "Y" but the Go Back button is "B"?

Would you like to change it in the game, or for your computer? If the latter, you can press F1 during playtest mode to set keys and buttons. Otherwise you'll have to do some modifying with the default scripts.

That I already know.  I meant changing what button does what.  The "B" button is set as the Main Menu and Back button as default but I want to change it so for example, the "Y" or "Z" button does that instead.  Note that I say button and not key.  I'm not sure if I'm able to get my message across, am I?
