Catoon Charset by Jbrist

Hey everyone, The other day, I posted a Tileset Template, and with it, I started making a Cartoon Tileset, it looks pretty good so far, But when I testplayed, I realised that the RTP doesn't fit with it at all !

I also noticed that someone else is making a Cartoon Tileset, and well, I decided to help them, and myself.

People of RMXP.org, I give you... The Cartoon Charset !

It's an edit of the RTP Template, but using minimal colours, so it looks nice and cartoony, but look appealing at the same time !

The key of this Charset is:
Help noob/newbs to sprite, because this is an easy set.
Fit in with Cartoonish games
Use minimal detail but still look appealing
Sprite quickly
Any other reason at all.

I would also like this Charset to be added in the Gathering of Templates, because I feel it is necessary for those who ARE making cartoonish games, And you must credit me if you use it, because I am the creator of the Cartoon Template, hehe.

Though I think it would be great for new spriters to get their bearings, or even practice, I think you could add maybe another shade of color there, like the hklineart templates for the build it! contest.

But other than that, it does looks functional enough to be used for a full project, and I'm sure it'll help anyone who needs a start but is intimidated by the more advanced templates. Good job.

I will add darker varieties in the future, I am just making a few main Characters before I move on to newer things.

Nice i like that a lot.
Looks really nice also i like that you picked Snake .. iv looked but iv not seen one of him around i think more of him and people from the MGS games should be made but thats about something else .. your skills at making charsets are pretty good as always good work

I'm gonna add different varieties depending on how much people like the set.

this might be just what i need to start spriting before i use the rtp template to sprite, some various poses would be great as well like swimming, climbing, hanging onto an edge (with one hand or two), crawling, etc (i have alot more pose ideas if you need em XD

make the outlines darker and all one color. To contrast the cartoon shading you need a dark outline or it just looks like a blob.

I think I have to disagree, it looks good as it is, and with black outline, it looks wierd.

It looks as if you where just using MS Paint's basic palette...

I never said black, I said darker, there is a difference. Right now it looks kinda flat but thats your opinion I guess....

Yep, and it fits in with the Tilesets I'm making, which are done in the same fashion.
