Casting Magic with Spoken Incantations? (VX)

Basically, I'm looking for the right way to set up an event page during battle that will allow:

1.) BGM pause.
2.) Text window appears with incantation.
3.) .wav/.mp3 file with speech for incantation used.
4.) Magic animation
5.) Battle continues as normal.

If you still don't understand, think of Sheena's summons from the game Tales of Symphonia. I'd like a character to say an incantation, followed by a move (which, ironically, would be used as a summon).

1) There is no "BGM Pause".

2) You could include the incantation text in the "Use Message" option for the skill

3-4) If the incantations are short, you could include it as an SE in the 'Animation" for the skill, adding a few blank animation frames at the beginning if necessary.
 
You can use a Common Event for this (or whatever it's called in VX.) It's impossible to pause BGM, but if you want it to fade out and fade in without restarting, you can create a blank ME and play that. Or better yet, put the speech for incantation in the ME.

The magic animation can be done normally in the database configuration.
 
Here's a good event for what you're trying to do:

Play (Name of Battle Music) (100% Pitch, 0% Volume)
Show Text: (Incantation Here)
Play SE: (Incantation)
Show Battle Animation: (Animation)

Now, make the spell statistics do damage WITHOUT selecting an animation.
