Cast Aside

Actually, I'd prefer him keep it to himself, because from what I've seen TBS can get quite complex to setup. That makes people ask questions, and the end result you a bunch of lame games that don't utilize the system fully and so many people have the system that it quickly gets played out.

Also, Anaryu hasn't given up any of his scripts as far as I know of, why would this one be any different?

@Anaryu
What's the status of Ep.2? Hiatus? Slacking?

Sorry I don't post any of these scripts for use, but I tried that once and I found myself spending more time supporting it than working on it, advancing it, or using it!

The big "scripters" on the site here don't really work on game projects, they build systems for people to use. However those systems rarely see their way into any finished projects; look at the big projects here and you'll see that almost none of the complete ones use any of these completed systems that are all gathering dust.

My desire was to make actual completed projects, and my skills? Not writing, not art, but scripting, so I took that skill and applied it to my own games because I would be sad if I made something as useful/powerful as this, and it went either unused, or was only in incomplete projects, or if only a few of the features were used.

My apologies, but I have no intention of releasing any of the custom stuff. =(

As for Episode 2's status:

I have been really slacky about this, as well as busy, sick, and even playing some of the dozens of console games I own but haven't beaten yet! However I will be sure to pour more effort into it starting tonight (or tomorrow night if I pass out sick again tonight) and will try to get it done soon!

Of course, that being said, the biggest reason it's not done yet it just because I haven't sat down and just done it. I shall strive to fix that error now. :)

As for a progress update: So far episode 2 has about 10-15 minutes of scenes done, and another 5-10 minute of the new Challenge for this episode, we're working on the first dungeon of the game, and it's planned to be interesting, this episode might have a longer gameplay span of an hour or more at this rate!

Ah, Well I thought I would at least ask you know. Best of luck..btw I'm having trouble with the 2nd part of the first puzzel.

Never hurts to ask. ^_^ Sorry I don't have any plans on releasing it.

You mean the rock pushing puzzle? Or the puzzle with the floating glass tiles? You need to use the fact that you can move characters separately for the rock pushing puzzles.

It the rock pushing one. I'm having trouble with the 2nd part of it.

Reset the puzzle with the small blue sparkle, then have one of your characters go one square down and left from where the rock is, then have the other push it so it's block that character, then have that character push it to the open spot along the bottom of the cliff, and have the other character push it through that space onto the rocks below!

... O_o There are no words that can describe how I felt after Episode One. Except for maybe sad since it was done. Definitely looking forward to Episode Two!

If Rayne goes west on the beach without Kael following her, and after you make her walk around a bit, it suddenly switches back to Kael, who's still stuck on the other map. He starts talking about the battles, and then the battle starts, although it ends right away since there's no monsters. After that, it switches back to Rayne, who starts talking about making a run for it.

Consider that fixed! Thanks for the report. Managing the location of multiple characters has proven to require more careful planning than I like. But I've come up with new ways to handle those potential issues in Episode 2.

I have to attribute no small amount of the polish from Episode 1 to things I've learned from all the different assignments I've graded from the Game Academy!

Sorry Ark, but i'm not sure there will be one at all.

Anaryu posted in the farewell forum whilst we were using the temporary forum. But i'm not sure if hes gone for good.

It's true that Anaryu is not likely to come back anytime soon. For now, I suppose it would be best to close this topic. Anaryu and I regularly speak on MSN messenger, so he will tell me if he wants to reopen this or add more chapters. A shame, because I liked this project a great deal...and I know many of you out there did too.
