cartoony ogre type deal battler

I'm kind of trying to keep it cartoony looking, hence the black outline and even the black inner detail lines.  The simplistic shade and color choices.  I really don't like though, speaking of color, the fact that I don't have a highlight shade but I thought that best.  I also don't like the browns in the club/tree limb weapon, they don't seem to go well.

Some kind of ogre or generic monster, whatever.
Any comments on bettering it would be much appreciated :)

All i could say is add more contrast to the green, and work on the club's shading, it doesn't look nice.

Besides that it looks pretty damn good! :thumb:

I don't like that there's a curve in the club at the exact point that it crosses the leg, that's awkward.
I don't like a lot of the thinner lines, that represent muscle or bone structures, like on the hand, and on the chin.

I DO like the style you're in, though you're right about the brown on the club.
The detail lines mix too much with the darker brown.

I like that your sprites are always so original in shape and posture :). They have a lot of character.

Aside from what's been mentioned already, you need to work on your palette. The clothes are semi-alright (that particular shade of purple isn't very appealing and the highlight/shade are too similar in hue), but the skin is comprised entirely of very light tones, which stands out in an ugly way against the very black outlines.

It reminds me of Mother series monster sprites. I like this, because the style is original. Maybe add some age to that club, maybe some dried blood?

This is just a quick edit, but shouldn't the foot look more like this? Rather then being jagged!

^^Yes I know I made its foot too fat!
I like the ogre's posture though, like said before though, the ogre's skin palette needs a little more contrast.

Edit: Missingno- Sorry, sorry, I added it! I hope you were talking to me!
