Can't Load IGM or Trial

So before anyone asks no I have not used the trial version before. After downloading the software from either the site or download.com and after I install it and try and run it it says:

You can see the error codes (2 lines) and it wont let me use the trial version (and no first time even deciding to try it out).

I advise deleting it and downloading it again, from like a different site if you can, I'm probably wrong though and this is most likely a bad idea.

Well I tried downloading it from their site and download.com, but every time I install it and then run it I get that same window with the error and no trial available.

IGM doesn't work on 64-bit OSes.

OS: Microsoft® Windows® XP/Vista
CPU: Intel® Pentium® 4, 2.4GHz or faster (Intel® Core™ 2 Duo or better recommended)
Memory: Minimum 512MB (2GB or more recommended)
Hard disc drive: Minimum free space of 300MB
Video card: Minimum resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels (*For authoring games in high-definition, a video card with at least 128MB video memory and 1,280 x 720-pixel resolution is recommended.)
Sound card: 16-bit stereo, 44.1 or 48KHz sampling rate, and capable of WAV format playback
DVD-ROM drive: Required for installation

*Operation is not guaranteed for 64-bit operating systems.
*Hardware must be DirectX9.0c-compatible.

There's a patch to make it work for 64bit OS's here: http://www.igmakers.com/downloads.html

Download "IG Maker 64bit Fix". Replace IG MAKER.exe with the exe in that download, and it'll work for you.

If it's as simple as a patch it rather begs the question "why didn't eb do it", especially when you can't buy 32-bit computers any more (computers not os).
